Fall is here

Falling leaves.

Falling temperatures.

Fall is here.

It's time to start preparing for Thanksgiving.

Have you turned the heat on yet? Did you remember to change the furnace filter? If not, put that on your to-do list!

Next thing on your to-do list is to do fall cleanup in your yard, plastic on your windows (if you live in colder regions), put a winter survival kit in your vehicle(s), dig out your winter clothes, coats, and boots, and decorate your home.

Yes. I said it.

Make your home feel warm and cozy with fall colors.

Here's a little inspiration…

A mix of fall colors and vibrant sky helps bring a little light into the room. I like this one because it's like a breath of fresh, crisp air. Sure, it doesn't make you feel warm and cozy.  But, it does give a feeling of bright and happy days. Just click the image to see what sizes are available. The link will open in a new tab.

Brighten up your bathroom with a new shower curtain and bath mat set. Then, head over to Society6 and grab a few matching towels. The cool yellow glow will add a little light. Autumn decor does not need to be dark and gloomy to be warm and inviting.

Upholstered with vegan leather, this bench is sure to impress! This bench was promoted by a fellow artist who loved the fall colors. Give a spot for your guests to sit down and remove their shoes. Put it at the foot of your bed. Wherever you use it, it will liven up the area. Simply click the image to shop. You can also find more benches here

I also have bar stools and counter stools available.

Who doesn't love pillows?

No. They aren't meant to be thrown. But, you do you. If you feel you need to have a pillow fight, these pillows will hold up – unless, of course, you get too into it.

Put a few throw pillows on your couch.  Two throw pillows on the love seat. Do you have a recliner? You can still use a throw pillow.

Floor pillows are great! A romantic evening in front of the fireplace. An indoor picnic. Keep a couple floor pillows handy for the kids to lay on – or attempt to build a pillow fort.

Do not forget throw blankets! Especially if you're in a colder region. You'll need one… or two. Have one or two on the couch. One or two on the love seat. One on the recliner. You might as well keep a couple in the car too! Okay. Yes. I like blankets.

You can never have too many.  Well, maybe you can. I suppose fifty blankets might be a bit too much. Maybe?

No matter what you do, or don't do, remember to enjoy each day. Take a moment to breathe. Think of three good things about your day. Spend time with loved ones. Cuddle up with your new pillows and throw blankets, and call a friend or family member.

The holidays are coming quickly. Be sure to end each day with a little “me time”. When we get caught up in the hustle and bustle, we sometimes forget to just relax and take in the moments. Make this the year that you start caring for yourself too.
